What does being a millennial mean to you?
We’re so fortunate as millennials to essentially have the world at our fingertips - thanks to globalization, technology, and acculturation; at the same time, we are the most talked about generation and therefore often under a microscope and sometimes even misjudged.
It's no secret that the fashion industry is in a changing period right now. As a #girlboss in the industry, where do you see the fashion industry going next?
I believe the industry is moving more and more towards inclusiveness, making diversity a top priority. Also, I fully support the movement towards encouraging clothing brands to focus on making a positive impact on society and the environment, like fair labor practices and using recycled materials.
Describe MILLENNIAL in your own 3 words.
Casual NYC chic.
What's your favorite MILLENNIAL piece?
NYFW hoodie from the new capsule collection - I’m living in it!
How do you like to style MILLENNIAL?
I like to style MILLENNIAL with some cool jewelry and statement bags.
What is your favorite part about NYFW?
Having to work with the designers who I've worked with in past seasons gives me a sense of a "fashion family" and (of course!) all the beautiful madness of NYFW.
What is your go-to NYFW outfit?
All black everything + I have this big and cozy LV scarf that can be a scarf, blanket or anything I want it to be.
Favorite restaurant during NYFW?
I’m focused on eating nourishing healthy foods during NYFW so my favourite spots are restaurants that serve organic food where I can grab a smoothie or some delicious salad (like Juice Press) and poké spots (I love Wisefish in Chelsea). Chalk Point Kitchen is a great market-to-table spot in Soho where I love to go for dinner.
Who is your style icon for FW17?
I don't a have a style icon but I'm really influenced by many incredible designers I've worked with this season - check out my Instagram @les.nyc for some fashion inspirations!
